Jewlery Artist

This is a picture of my metalsmith/jewelry artist sister’s show table. She makes high end metal sculpted pieces  that are beautiful.  These few pieces are what she had left after her artist’s show this past weekend.

Our aunt and uncle from Minnesota went to an estate auction in early September up in the northwestern part of Minn. and this is what they got:

Hand carving

 She is a Norwegian spinning wheel and is just gorgeous.  I’ll be getting her cleaned up and a couple of little things fixed and she should be up and spinning real soon.

Here are some pictures of her cleaned up and the first skein of yarn spun up on her.  While cleaning her the paint was wanting to come off so I washed her gently, I think it is an old milk paint.  Hope the pictures help.
